GODFREY MARINE - INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR
Elkhart, IndianaMaintains inventory integrity throughout the campus warehouses including accurate reporting of all inventory transactions, accurate item file information, and proper internal controls that will provide for a smooth flow of raw material through the facility.
Essential Job Functions:
Drive consistent inventory process improvement with an eye on efficiency, safety, and profitability.
Oversee the flow of material through site locations and integrate various planning and information systems to provide accurate information, effective material control, and continuous improvement in performance to meet the corporate objectives. Including, maintaining proper inventory levels in each warehouse by conducting cycle counts and reconciling variances as needed.
Communicate, coordinate and execute materials and inventory transfers to and from company owned warehouses; maximize warehouse storage capacity by properly organizing pallet locations and floor space.
Assist in quarterly-end physical inventories for allocations
Identify root cause integrity discrepancies in the warehouse/stores
Carry out direct cycle count activities on site and coordinate count staff to ensure count schedules are maintained
Assist in development of process improvements on site in relation to inventory related process steps and support implementation
Monitor procedural compliance; support implementation of new procedures in conjunction with management and operations
Provide escalation point to Inventory management in relation to unresolved issues
Contacting vendors for returns and repairs
Ensure that the physical on-hand material count matches the computed perpetual inventory count on a daily basis including documenting process
Reporting, researching, adjusting and correcting inventory as needed
Track and properly handle all damaged items through appropriate sales or adjustments
Non-Essential Job Functions:

Requirements
Bachelor's degree desired
A minimum of 3 years warehousing, inventory control, and/or relevant experience
Experience and familiarity with inventory control, kitting, and assembly processes
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Additional requirements include: familiarity with personal computing software (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), MRP systems (Infor:Syteline)
Possesses a strong knowledge of configurator software and fundamental configurator logic
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
Other Skills/Abilities
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
